June 25, 2009. In a unanimous vote, the Gorman Joint School District awarded its school bus service operations contract to Forsythe Transportation.

Forsythe Transportation is also the contractor for the Newhall School District, the William S. Hart Union High School District and the Hughes-Elizabeth Lakes Union Elementary School District, all located in Southern California. The Gorman Joint School District contract is effective July 1, 2009.

The Gorman contract will be managed by June Lima (General Manager) out of the Lake Hughes School District facility. The board members were very pleased to hear that June will continue to manage this operation.
