May 17, 2009. Forsythe Transportation took 9 of the 10 trophies awarded at the Alaska State School Bus Safety Competition, held May 16, 2009- including the Traveling Trophy. The only place not captured was the 4th place local trophy (there was no 4th place award for State-wide competition.)
Winner of the highest score for this school bus “Roadeo” was Sheila van Weel - a driver at Forsythe’s Eagle River, Alaska terminal. The "Traveling Trophy" goes to the terminal with the highest score for that year's competition. Sheila will represent Alaska and Forsythe Transportation at the International School Bus Safety Competition to be held in Greensboro, North Carolina on July 18, 2009.
